TBR goal of August 2019

Last month I managed to read only 2/3 books I’ve targeted (mainly because I’ve read other two books I did not intended to – This Savage Song and Our Dark Duet, both by Victoria Schwab) – Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas and Lock Every Door by Riley Sager.

August being a month full of birthdays (for me and my whole big family) I suppose I would not have as much reading time as I’d want (sadly).

So that’s why I’ve decided that my goal this month will consist of only two books that I really want to read until the 31st. And I am sure as hell that I am going to meet my goal by the end of the month!

So, the two books are the ones that follow:

*

Nocturna (A Forgery of Magic #1) by Maya Motayne

Why do I want to read this book:

  • I’ve been having this book for a while now and it is such a shame to have such a fresh book everyone has read and not read it;
  • I have never read a Latinx-inspired YA Fantasy book, so there is always a beginning for everything;
  • I just feel like this could be such a great book to read on the beach or by the poolside, it just inspires me to think that I am far away from home, somewhere on a Caribbean island surrounded by all of its colours and tastes and sounds.

*

Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass #4) by Sarah J. Maas

Why do I want to read this book:

  • I’ve read Throne of Glass;
  • I’ve read Crown of Midnight;
  • I’ve read Heir of Fire;
  • I actually bought the book so it’s sitting and waiting on my shelf right now;
  • It is exactly the middle of the series, how could I possibly stop?

Again, hoping that I manage to read these two books this month, this monthly goal is going to be easy-peasy!
