TBR goal of October 2019

I’ve managed to finish Empire of Storms!

And I’ve also managed to read The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas!

I declare September a good and successful month.

Giving the fact that this is October and I don’t mess around in October, I’ve decided to also read a Horror book (because I am a big girl and I am not afraid). So, there it goes mt TBR goal for this month:

Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass #6) by Sarah J. Maas

Why do I want to read this book:

  • I’ve read the Throne of Glass books before it, all three of them (Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms);
  • The last book ended in a MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER THAT I DID NOT APPRECIATE so I really have to get over with this one in order to find out what the bloody hell has happened at the end of Empire of Storms!!
  • Even though it came as an annoying stop of events in the series, I feel like it is going to be an important piece before the last ending of the series so I will try to appreciate it.

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

Why do I want to read this book:

  • The cover is so pretty that it got me thinking;
  • I’ve been recommended this book and I heard it is quite of a light reading;
  • It has some interesting concepts within it, concepts that could make a difference in the YA world;
  • I’ve also heard it has a very nice dose of cultural diversity so that has just got me hooked, take my money.

The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco

Why do I want to read this book:

  • I need the spooky factor in my life, so this book has been sitting on my shelf for three Octobers already; it is its time!
  • The cover really suggest it is going to be spooky and it also gives me some The Ring vibes;
  • I’ll be reading this along with a Goodreads group so this should be scary and fun altogether;
  • I am a Horror books freak so all I say is: Let the fun begin!

I hope I will be able to meet my goal this month again and I also hope (as a bonus) to read at least another book. At least!

With that being said, with be a good spook!
