Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
I’ve decided to jump in the Top Ten Tuesday train and start with this week’s topic: Winter TBR.
I don’t really care if the books that I plan to read in a certain time of the year are or not matching the weather outside. My Winter TBR has too few books with actual winter action in them. But, anyway, this is how my Winter TBR is going to look like:
1.Hercule Poirot’s Christmas by Agatha Christie

As a super Agatha Christie fan I feel a bit ashamed to admit that this particular book slipped between my fingers at least two times already.
This winter I shall read it! Even though I am such a messy reader that I’d probably change my mind and forget all about it. But I shall see!
2.Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

With this book, this is going to be the longest series I’ve ever read in my whole life in only one year, so basically, this book is both on my winter TBR and on my To-Do list of 2019. I am not going to step into 2020 with this book unread and the series unfinished! I simply won’t allow that!
3.The Wicked King by Holly Black

This is making me more and more curious and giving the fact that I’ve already started The Cruel Prince some time in November, I must read the whole series!
Plus, I live for Cardan’s wits and sass!
4.The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

Basically just trying to read the trilogy this winter with the will of God. I’ve already put my hands on a copy of this so I’d better get to it because it might seem the perfect coronation of my latest obsession.
5.Ruthless Gods by Emily A. Duncan

I loved Wicked Saints so giving the fact that I’ve got an ARC of this (*hehe*) I might read it as fast as possible. It’s just too good to drop it!
I am also fairly curious to see how much darker can it get.
6.City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

I’ve barely entered the Shadowhunters universe so I need more “research” in order to decide if I am a fan of it or not. This book has to be better than the first one and, I hope, not as good as the next ones so, fingers crossed! 🤞
7.The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

This is supposed to be the thriller of 2019 and yet I, a mystery-thriller fan, wasn’t able to read it since it came out. I even bought a copy! Even my Mummy read this before me so this winter has to be the one for this!
Plus, I have taken such a wicked picture of this book that I can’t wait to use 😍
8.A Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood

Shame on me once, twice, thrice because this is how many times I wanted to start this but I haven’t. I know a fair amount of people obsessed with this so I just need to join them ASAP just to see if it’s worth the hype (and I feel it ought to be!).
9.Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

I couldn’t find this book anywhere when everyone was hyping over it, but now I got it so I really, really, really want to find time to read it. Plus, I find that cover really, really beautiful and you know I have this weakness for beautiful covers!
10.The Children of Virtue and Vengeance (Legacy of Orïsha #2) by Tomi Adeyemi

AAAGHH I’ve been waiting for THE WHOLE YEAR for this beautiful masterpiece so of course I am going to read it as soon as I get it because the world building in this is fantastic and I am in love!!
What are some of the books on your TBR this winter?
