I have totally forgot to set a goal for January 2020 so I just started reading chaotically. I’ve managed to read Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi, Vox by Christina Dalcher, Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin, Fierce Fairytales by Nikita Gill and also the first book from The Witcher series, The Last Wish, by Andrzej Sapkowski.
That pretty impressive for this month, giving the fact that I was in a full exam session at uni.
I have also managed to complete my goal for December 2019 and also read The Wicked King and The Queen of Nothing, both by Holly Black and (bonus) #BOSSGIRL by Sophia Amoruso. I’ve been prolific. I am proud of myself, I must admit.
For this month all I want to do is READ. And because of that, I would love for me to get done with the following books:

Ruthless Gods (Something Dark and Holy #2) by Emily A. Duncan
Why do I want to read this book:
- I loved Wicked Saints so much that obsessed over it at least a week after I was done;
- I am a Slavic folklore lover so I can’t but wait for this book to hit me with old Slavic inspired beliefs once more;
- I low-key love Malachiasz and I really want to see that’s going to happen with that pretty wicked head of his;
- This book somehow scream “WINTER AESTHETICS!” at me so I’d be a total fool if I’d let this one slip away and read it when…spring…comes *shudders in terror*;
- I’ve been approved an ARC so now I feel forced to read it (not that I mind or anything, God forbid).

City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments #2) by Cassandra Clare
Why do I want to read this book:
- I’ve read the first book of the series, City of Bones;
- I must go on with the series;
- I still feel a bit ashamed that I haven’t got the chance to read these books when I was younger and I was, basically, supposed to (in my defence, I wasn’t a fan of reading back then and I already had a lot of big and boring books to read for school so leave me alone);
- The first book left me like 🤔🤔 so I must go on with everything it has started in my brain;
- I, too, want to become a Shadowhunter one day in my life.

Sword of Destiny (The Witcher #0.75) by Andrzej Sapkowski
Why do I want to read this book:
- I’ve already started the series with The Last Wish so I have to go on;
- In general, I don’t jump on the “hype this when it’s fresh” train but I’ve been binge-watching the TV series so now I have no choice but to go with everyone else;
- These books actually explain a lot of things to me, things I wasn’t vigilant enough to catch in the TV series;
- Reading books in advance of the TV series is like stalking a celebrity or following them in public places, but you don’t get to have a restraining order so I guess it is safer ✌️
Okay so, that’s my goal for February.
Do you have a goal set to keep you on track?
Good luck! 🤗 🌺
